Rare exquisite ivory trinket box, silk lined with miniature painting on lid c 1870

Japanese bronzed metal dish with a cast and pierced border, with birds and flowers.

Good condition.

An early Bilson box, with some damage as is normal for age.  Damage mostly to base.
